Bobby Weschler -

Owner & Tattoo Artist--MON-SAT 10-9PM ------- Bob@rawinkstudio.com

From graphic designer to tattoo artist, Bobby officially began his career as a tattoo ist in Silver Spring, MD. Through his experiences within the tattoo comuninty it was apperent that the "art" was lost and carbon copies were all you could get from a tattoo shop. That was the birth of RAW INK. Not just your average "street shop", but a Studio of creative, experienced artists that do more than copy tattoo designs picked off a wall. RAW INK will always be known as the custom tattoo studio that only does unique tattoos.

Formally trained in fine arts and graphic design at MCAD (Maryland College of Art and Design) and Montgomery College, Bobby spent twelve years in the printing and graphic design industry. This experience gives him a special perspective on his artwork that will help it flow with your body as well as possible.

Bobby's favorite subject to tattoo is underwater creatures and their habitats but he is well rounded. 80% of his designs come from markers freehanded to the body with reference pulled only from his own library of photographs, sketches and documentation.

"I saw society opening up to tattooing but every tattoo I saw was the same! Probably because its all the same reference (google), so of course there will be similar 'copies'... My goal is to use unique reference and to give one of a kind tattoos by spending the right amount of time nailing down the design first with the customer, and then drawing the design to best fit the contours of the body." -Robert Anthony Weschler (Bobby)

Bobby's studio has the only flash in the whole shop. The tightly hung art on the wall and a 1940's dental chair makes you feel like you just sat down in an old tattoo parlor. Its everything we love about the old-school with a new-school twist.
